What this service is

KinoDuo is a tool for several people to watch video at the same time. The service keeps pause, seeking and playback speed in sync, and adds chat plus voice and video calls between people in a room.

What data we process

What we never receive

Your account

You can watch video without an account. An account is only needed for chat, calls, screen sharing and stickers. If you sign up, we store your login, email address, the name shown in the room, the password fingerprint, and the dates you registered and last signed in. The email is only a second way to sign in — we send no mail and pass the address to nobody.

Your session rests on a signed cookie that lasts 30 days. It is marked HttpOnly and Secure: third-party scripts cannot read it, and the browser will not send it over an unencrypted connection.

Cookies and browser storage

The service itself keeps settings in your browser: the chosen theme, your name, the frame zoom and your answer to the consent prompt. None of it leaves your device. The only cookie the service sets is the one holding your session; without an account there is none at all.

If you agreed to cookies, Google AdSense ads are shown on the pages. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your interests. Declining personalisation does not switch ads off — they simply become non-personalised. You can adjust this in Google ad settings, and you can change your choice on our site by clearing the site data in your browser.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or pass your data to third parties. The exception is the Google ad network, which processes data according to its own policy, and requirements of the law.

Retention

Chat messages are saved in the database and kept indefinitely. The history never appears in the room itself: only the last 50 messages are shown there, and only while the room is alive. The video link and any attached sticker packs are written to disk so a room survives a restart — and are deleted with it 30 minutes after the last person leaves. Account data is kept after the account is closed: the record is marked as closed and stops being used, but it stays in the database. The login and the email address are freed up, so they can be registered again. If you need your data physically erased, write to us and we will erase it on request. Request logs are kept for no longer than 30 days.

Your rights

Room data disappears once the room closes — leaving is enough to delete it. Settings are removed by clearing the site data in your browser. If you have an account and want it deleted along with everything in it, write to us from the address you registered with and we will delete it.
